Civic Self: Managing our Political Emotions – Civic Edition

Join us for the last workshop in our 3-part series designed to help you navigate today’s charged political landscape with greater emotional resilience.

In this workshop, you’ll learn practical tools to understand and manage your reactions to current events, channeling them in healthier ways to strengthen your civic causes.

What you’ll gain:

  • Understand the root causes of people’s strongest political reactions
  • Learn self-compassion techniques to address political anxiety
  • Leverage your insights to strengthen your civic causes

Attend any session that resonates with you, or join the complete series for a full journey toward better emotional management and more meaningful civic participation.

Civic Self enables civic engagement through self-understanding. Take the first step toward a healthier relationship with our political reality!

This session will be led by Impact Hub Member June Liu, MPH , the founder and principal of JQL Consulting, LLC, where she provides management consulting services to social impact organizations and initiatives. Her experience includes consulting at Bain & Company, a leading global firm, and improving health outcome for low-income populations at Community Health Choice, a regional health insurance company.

With over 15 years of expertise in business strategy, program design and optimization, and public health policy, June helps organizations align business goals with mission-driven impact. She is also the creator of Civic Self, a program designed to empower individuals to approach both professional and civic challenges with authenticity, compassion, and purpose—ultimately preparing them to address society’s toughest problems.

June holds a Master of Public Health from UTHealth Houston and dual degrees in Policy Studies and Biochemistry from Rice University.
