The energy of FIFA World Cup 2026™ Houston is coming to the Ion District, Powered by Rice University!

Rice and friends of Rice are invited for an exciting watch party experience at the Ion this June. From big-screen match viewing to food, drinks, and community connection, Match Day at the Ion will celebrate the world’s game in the heart of Midtown.

As a Houston World Cup 2026™ Host City Supporter, Rice University has a unique opportunity to host this gathering to capture the excitement, pride, and global spirit surrounding one of the world’s biggest sporting events — all within the Ion District.

These gatherings, for friends of Rice, will bring together founders, students, corporate partners and tenants in the Ion District, powered by Rice University.

PARKING

Ion District Parking Garage

Enter 4111 Fannin Street into your GPS for directions directly to this parking garage, located a block from the Ion. Parking in the Ion District Garage is free for the first two hours.

Red Parking Lot

Enter 4203 Fannin Street into your GPS for directions directly to the red parking lot, located across the street from the Ion. This lot is for overflow guest parking and tenant parking and is free for the first three hours.
