what

Join us at the Ion Prototyping Lab for the Houston Co-ed Designer Sewcial Meetup, a creative hub for people who sew. The wisdom, skills, and experience of everyone is welcome, no matter age or background.

Bring your machines, side projects, and tools (irons, needles, fabric, yarn, sketchbooks, tape measures, books, cutting tools, etc.) and the Ion Prototyping Lab provides the space to connect, collaborate, and craft. From pattern drafting, sewing, fashion illustrating, content creation, and embroidery, these monthly meetups are about stitching style and crafting culture. Please leave coveted IP or capsule collections at home as this is a public open lab setting. Lastly, feel free to stop by if only to observe and meet folks.

In the future, the Houston Co-ed Designer Sewcial Meetup plans to provide hands-on workshops, expert demos, and tool swapping meetups designed to empower and elevate emerging talent and give hobbyists a place to congregate. Come sew with us – where the future of fashion is made together.
