Join the Ion Prototyping Lab and Rice’s Nexus Lab for a day of robotic displays, discussions, and lab tours! The full schedule of events is listed below.

SCHEDULE

9:00 - 10:00 AM - Innovation Tours: IPL + Nexus tours will present visitors with an overview of the tools and capabilities in both the IPL and Nexus facilities and discuss the iterative design process and lessons learned in several interesting projects. (Located in IPL and Nexus)
12:30 - 2:00 PM - Innovation Discussion on Robotics: This session will begin with presentations by Nauticus Robotics and Rice University regarding their work on robotic devices followed by an informal discussion with the audience on challenges, lessons learned, and where they see the industry going in the next 20 years. (Located in Nexus)
3:00 - 5:00 PM - Hands-On Activity: During this hands-on session visitors will be able to interact with a variety of robots and participate in a Robot Battlebots arena. In addition, there will be a range of static exhibits showcasing interesting products/projects from the Houston area, as well as a range of industry experts, engineers, and entrepreneurs hanging around to answer questions, brainstorm ideas, and spur innovation. (Located in IPL)
