Join STEAM on Demand for a hands-on family-friendly STEAM workshop. In this engineering lesson, students will build a simple tripwire alarm using circuits and buzzers to detect movement. They will explore key concepts like conductivity, switches, and how security systems function—and understand how these elements work together to create the alarm.
Through hands-on construction led by the STEAM on Demand platform, using everyday materials, they’ll create and test their own working alarm system. By the end, students will understand how circuits work and how tripwires are used in real-world applications.
This event will be tailored for 7-14-year-olds and their families for a fun STEAM experience! We look forward to building and learning with you!
