About Community Artists’ Collective
Community Artists’ Collective was founded in 1987 to offer exhibition and art education experiences for local artists and the broader community. CAC continues to be a place to engage with artists and learn about the culture and creativity that inspires Houstonians and beyond. Visit their office in the Ion District Garage during the Block Party!
About Dr. Joel Zika
An internationally recognized media artist and Assistant Professor of Virtual Production at Texas A&M, Dr. Zika will showcase his cutting-edge digital sculptures through augmented reality screens. His work, which has been exhibited globally from Australia to SXSW, bridges the gap between public art and digital innovation, creating mesmerizing floating imagery unlike anything you’ve seen before. See his art at the block party!
