Join My Climate Journey during the inaugural Houston Energy and Climate Startup Week for a special live recording of the MCJ podcacst. Host and MCJ Managing Partner, Cody Simms, will be joined on stage by Zach Dell, CEO of Base Power Company. The discussion will cover Base’s product, distributed battery storage, the aging grid and backup power in Texas at large. The podcast recording will be followed by a networking happy hour with light snacks and refreshments.

​​🎙️ Meet MCJ’s guest and host:

🔋 Zach Dell is the CEO of Base Power Company. Zach was born and raised in Austin, Texas. He studied at the University of Southern California, where he developed anaerobic digestion systems to convert waste into compressed biogas in rural India. After college, Zach joined the Blackstone Group as an investment analyst on the private equity team. He then moved to Thrive Capital, a multi-stage tech investment firm, where he worked as an investor, before starting Base in the summer of 2023.

​​🎤 Cody Simms is the host of the My Climate Journey podcast and Managing Partner at MCJ Collective. He’s also co-founder of Climate Changemakers, a non-profit climate action network that got its start in the MCJ Member community. Cody co-authored the Amazon-bestselling book Levers: The Framework for Building Repeatability into Your Business.
