As part of InterfaceRice 2024, the Rice Neuroengineering Initiative presents an innovative collaboration between the Houston-based arts organization Musiqua and the NSF IUCRC BRAIN Lab of Dr. Jose Contreras-Vidal at the University of Houston. Together, they have been presenting a work entitled “Meeting of the Minds” that sheds new light on creativity and the neuroscience of movement through live use of EEG data from dancers and musicians in live performances. Drs. Anthony Brandy and Jose Contreras-Vidal will be on hand to discuss this work and showcase a performance for attendees.
