Since becoming Rice’s first Chief Innovation Officer, Paul has launched transformative initiatives — from building the Rice Nexus and Rice Biotech Launch Pad to forging groundbreaking partnerships and championing new venture studios, spaces, and funds. His influence can be seen across the Ion District and throughout Houston’s innovation community.

This special event is both a celebration and a send-off as Paul prepares for his next chapter as the University of Virginia’s first Chief Innovation Officer. While Rice and Houston will miss him dearly, his impact here will continue to be felt for years to come.
